Our Story: A Landscaping Company in Sacramento
American Gardens Landscaping is a Sacramento-area landscaping and fencing company built on generations of family craftsmanship. Landscaping is our family’s trade — owner Amin Farhang learned it from his father and grandfathers — and he brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience of his own. Today, Amin and his crew design and build complete outdoor projects — custom fences, paver patios, artificial grass, retaining walls, irrigation, and full landscape renovations — for homeowners across Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado Counties.
We are licensed, bonded, and insured — California CSLB License #1105341 (C-27 Landscaping and C-13 Fencing). That license, and the standards behind it, shape how we build: fence posts set deep in concrete and wrapped with waterproof tape below ground, redwood pickets, pressure-treated posts and rails, and Simpson steel connectors with screws instead of nails. Custom-built, never standard.

Quality
The parts of our work you can’t see are the parts we refuse to shortcut. Fence posts are pressure-treated and wrapped below grade so they don’t rot from the ground up, and frames are held with Simpson connectors and screws — not nails. Patios and artificial grass start with excavation and a compacted base, and retaining walls get gravel backfill, weed barrier and drainage behind every course. It’s slower. It’s also why our work is still straight and solid years later.

We choose materials the way we’d choose them for our own homes: quality redwood pickets, pressure-treated lumber where it touches the ground, and turf, pavers and stone picked for Sacramento heat — not just for the showroom.
